Mini Santa cupcakes with Nutella hazelnut spread

Ho ho ho, baby, enjoy these little mini chocolate cupcakes in your belly with Nutella® hazelnut spread! Everyone big and small will delight in the sight of a mini Santa on their plate!

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp plus 2 tsp plain yogurt
  • 3 tbsp plus 1 tsp whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup Nutella® hazelnut spread, fresh fruit
  • Fruit for decoration

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix egg, butter, whole milk and yogurt together in a bowl.
  • In another container, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to egg mixture and combine both of the mixtures with a spoon.

  • Pour the batter into the cups of a buttered cupcake pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Cupcakes are done when a toothpick, inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • When the cupcakes have cooled completely, they are ready to decorate.
  • Melt softly Nutella® hazelnut spread in a double boiler and pour into a piping bag.
  • Fill and decorate the cupcakes with piped Nutella hazelnut spread and fruit.
