Flower power candles made with Nutella® jars
Looking for an idea to decorate your home creatively? With LED lights and a little inspiration you can create a unique atmosphere with these floral themed candle holders. All you need is an empty jar of Nutella® to use as a lantern, a LED candle and lots of colourful flowers.
WHAT IS NEEDED
1 empty Nutella® jar
Leaves or flowers
Flower press or books
Decoupage glue
Brush
LED tealight
Sand
METHOD
Press the flowers or leaves in the flower press until they are completely dry. This may take a few days.
Alternatively you can use books to press them.
Apply the decoupage glue sparingly to the points on the outside of the jar where you are going to position the flowers. Use the size of your flowers as a guide.
Position each flower in turn onto the jar and carefully brush with the decoupage glue.
Tip: When brushing the glue on, work from the inside outwards, to prevent creases and wrinkles in your flowers.
Cover the bottom of the jar with sand and then place the tealight inside. Your flower power candle holder is finished!
