Create a DIY wall garden with Nutella® jars

WHAT IS NEEDED

  • 1 empty Nutella® jar

  • Wooden board (33-35 cm high, 18 cm wide)

  • Wood paint

  • Paper to cover work surface

  • Brush

  • 1 hook

  • 2 wall mounts

  • Hammer

  • 2 screws for the hooks

  • Screwdriver

  • 50 cm wire

  • Pliers

  • 2 nails for wall mounting

  • Spring flowers

METHOD

  1. Step five: planting herbs into Nutella jar wall garden planters.
    STEP 1

    Paint the wooden board in a colour of your choice and leave to dry thoroughly.

    Use the hammer to fix two Wall mounts to the back of the board.

    Screw the hook into the middle of the board. Leave about 4 cm from the top of the board. Mark the centre of the board and screw the hook 4 cm from the top edge.

    Cut two pieces of wire of equal length (approx. 25 cm). Shape one piece of wire into a handle, and fix it to the other piece.

  5. Step three: securing jars and adding soil in Nutella wall garden.
    STEP 5

    Attach the handle to the neck of the jar, and twist into place. Make sure that the wire is closely bound to the edge of the jar and fixed securely so the jar won’t slip.

  6. Step four: attaching jars to create Nutella jar wall garden.
    STEP 6

    Hang your jar onto the hook and mount your wall garden onto nails on the wall. Fill with spring flowers. All done!
