Carnival Pancakes with NUTELLA® and Apples
for 6-8 portions
Sift the flour into a bowl, add the eggs, sugar, milk, baking powder and the butter which has been melted and cooled beforehand. Mix with a whisk to create a smooth, fluid batter with no lumps.
Peel the apples and remove the stem using the special tool, leaving them whole. Then cut them horizontally into slices of approximately a half centimetre thickness.
Dip the apple slices, one at a time, into the batter, then pour into a pan with lots of really hot oil. Fry until they are consistently golden, drain them with a slotted spoon and place them onto some absorbent paper to remove any excess grease. Dust them with icing sugar and serve them hot and accompanied with a teaspoon of Nutella®.
