Baci di Dama with Nutella®
Kisses never tasted this sweet
Baci di dama are Italian cookies that mean “Lady’s kisses”!. Try our recipe for these hazelnut cookies, that have two crunchy hazelnut biscuits halves, filled with a soft layer of Nutella®. A marriage made in heaven.
INGREDIENTS for 24 servings

2 cups ground hazelnuts

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

3/4 cup butter, softened

2 egg yolk

Pinch of salt

1/2 cup Nutella® hazelnut spread
HOW TO MAKE BACI DI DAMA

STEP 1
In a large bowl, mix the powdered hazelnuts with the sugar and flour. Add the butter, egg yolk and salt and combine until you have a soft and malleable mixture. Form a large ball with the mixture and wrap in a plastic film. Refrigerate for a minimum of three hours, but ideally overnight (10-12 hours).

STEP 2
Preheat the oven to 140°C (284°F).
Remove the prepared cookie dough from the fridge and roll into 48 small balls with your hands, about 2 tsp each. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper about 2 inches apart. Bake for 18 min on the middle rack of the oven. Remove them from the oven when they are still slightly golden and soft. Let them cool down completely without touching them

STEP 3
Spread or pipe 5g (1 tsp) Nutella® hazelnut spread over the bottoms of half of the cookies. Sandwich with remaining cookies.
