Pancake Skewers with NUTELLA hazelnut spread

INGREDIENTS

Recipe Yield: 4 servings (1 skewer of 3 pancakes each per serving)
Prep and Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Pancakes:

1/2 cup Aunt Jemima® Original Complete Pancake Mix
1/3 cup water

Skewers:

1/4 cup Nutella® hazelnut spread
2 bananas, cut into 16 pieces
16 strawberries, hulled
4 skewers (about 10 to 12 inches long)

STEP 1

Heat skillet over medium-low heat or electric griddle to 375°F.

STEP 2

In medium bowl, combine pancake mix and water. Stir just until large lumps disappear (do not beat or overmix). Let stand 1 to 2 minutes to thicken.

STEP 3

Pour 1 tablespoon batter for each pancake onto lightly greased skillet or griddle. Cook about 1 minute. Turn and cook about 1 minute until golden brown. Depending on size of skillet or griddle, pancakes might need to be cooked in batches. Keep warm.

STEP 4

Spread approximately 1 teaspoon of Nutella® hazelnut spread on one side of each pancake. Thread pancakes onto skewers (3 pancakes per skewer) alternating with banana pieces and strawberries.
