Ukrainians mainly spread Nutella® on various types of white bread and sweet baked foods. When Nutella® first became available in Ukraine back in 1996, people spread it mostly on batons (white loaves) because it was the most common type of white bread. Today, Ukrainians often use baguettes or toast bread available in most stores. Nevertheless, the baton is still a popular bread for making grinky (French toasts) spread with Nutella®.
