Rice Pudding with Nutella®

INGREDIENTS Serves two people; portion size: a small glass

  • 50g Egyptian rice (¼ cup)

  • 250ml water (1 cup)

  • 250ml low-fat milk

  • (1 cup) 15g sugar (1 tablespoon)

  • 15g cornflour (1 tablespoon)

  • 30g Nutella®

for topping
  • Chopped hazelnuts or 2 fresh strawberries

To prepare this delicious recipe, 15g of Nutella® per person is enough to enjoy!

METHOD

  1. Combine the rice and water in a small pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the rice absorbs the water and becomes tender. If the rice is still firm, add ¼ cup of warm water and simmer on low heat a little longer.

  2. Whisk the cold milk, sugar, and cornflour together in a small bowl until smooth, then add the mixture to the cooked rice.

  3. Keep stirring over very low heat until the rice and milk thicken and turn into a rich, creamy rice pudding consistency.

  4. Spoon the rice pudding evenly into two small glasses and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

  5. Add 15g of Nutella® to each glass.

  6. Garnish with hazelnuts or halved fresh strawberries, then serve warm.
