FAQs

Want to know more about Nutella® Plant-Based

Nutella® Plant-Based jar has 60% recycled glass, and the lid is sourced from recycled plastic using a mass balance approach. A mass balance approach means that both recycled and virgin materials are mixed during plastic production process. The process to ensure the correct allocation of recycled material to Nutella® lid is certified by ISCC. With the ISCC certification, it can be ensured that an equivalent amount of recycled material for each Nutella® lid has been sourced at the beginning of the supply chain. One of the key advantages of mass balance is the possibility to increase the use of recycled material within the existing supply chains.
