Nutella® Mug Cake Recipe

This quick and easy mug cake recipe can be enjoyed as a dessert or snack. All you need is a few cake ingredients, Nutella®, a mug and a microwave - it's that easy!

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 SERVINGS

  • 100g of butter

  • 140g of flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 80g of sugar

  • 25ml of milk

  • 10g of baking powder

  • 60g of Nutella® (15g/ one heaped teaspoon per portion)

HOW TO MAKE A MUG CAKE

  1. Second mug cake variation topped with Nutella and fruit, serving suggestion.

    Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl on medium power (600/650 watts) for 15 seconds. Once melted, add the sifted flour to the baking powder, sugar, milk, and egg mixture.

  2. Third mug cake styled with Nutella swirls and powdered sugar.

    Mix until you get a smooth, lump-free paste.

  3. Fourth mug cake garnished with Nutella dollop and fresh berry.

    Divide the mixture among 4 mugs. Microwave the mug cakes one by one at 750 watts for 90 seconds.

  4. Mug cake number five topped with Nutella and sprinkled cocoa.

    Dig a hole in the centre of each mug cake using an apple corer or similar utensil.

  5. A baker is using a piping bag to fill each cake with a 15g portion of Nutella®.

    Using a piping bag filled with Nutella®, place one heaped teaspoon (15g) of Nutella® in the centre of each cake. Enjoy!
