Nutella® Mug Cake Recipe

This quick and easy mug cake recipe can be enjoyed as a dessert or snack. All you need is a few cake ingredients, Nutella®, a mug and a microwave - it's that easy!

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 SERVINGS

  • 100g of butter

  • 140g of flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 80g of sugar

  • 25ml of milk

  • 10g of baking powder

  • 60g of Nutella® (15g/ one heaped teaspoon per portion)

HOW TO MAKE A MUG CAKE

  1. A baker is sifting flour into a glass mixing bowl containing eggs, milk, sugar and baking powder.

    Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl on medium power (600/650 watts) for 15 seconds. Once melted, add the sifted flour to the baking powder, sugar, milk, and egg mixture.

  2. A baker is mixing the mug cake ingredients in a glass mixing bowl using a silicone spatula.

    Mix until you get a smooth, lump-free paste.

  3. A baker is pouring mug cake mixture from a glass mixing bowl into 4 separate mugs.

    Divide the mixture among 4 mugs. Microwave the mug cakes one by one at 750 watts for 90 seconds.

  4. A baker is digging a hole in a centre of baked mug cakes using a apple corer.

    Dig a hole in the centre of each mug cake using an apple corer or similar utensil.

  5. A baker is using a piping bag to fill each cake with a 15g portion of Nutella®.

    Using a piping bag filled with Nutella®, place one heaped teaspoon (15g) of Nutella® in the centre of each cake. Enjoy!
