Tapioca

In Brazilian cuisine this is a dessert made by combining tapioca with shredded coconut. The tapioca is stirred, drained through a sieve and fried into a tortilla shape. It is then filled with either "doce" (sweet) or "salgada" (salty) ingredients, a delicacy that can be bought from street vendors in many parts of Brazil, especially in the northern areas of the country.
