Christmas Flower Cupcake by Nutella®

Everybody loves flowers, right? Even more so when they're made entirely of Nutella®, and on a delicious cupcake base. These Christmas Flower Cupcakes by Nutella® are the decorative centrepieces that the family won’t get enough of.

Flower-topped cupcakes with Nutella swirl and piped buttercream roses.

INGREDIENTS FOR 6 SERVINGS

  • 1 egg

  • 125ml milk or 1 cup plain yoghurt

  • 70g sugar

  • 125g flour

  • 50g sunflower oil

  • 2 tsp yeast

  • 1 vanilla bean or 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 6 blueberries

  • 90g Nutella - 1 heaped tsp. of Nutella® (15g) per cupcake

HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS FLOWER CUPCAKE

  1. Flower cupcake decorated with Nutella and seasonal decorations on platter.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat together the egg and sugar until smooth. Add the sifted flour and vanilla, then whisk together. Add the milk (or yoghurt) to the mixture and whisk again until smooth.

  2. Flower-topped cupcakes with Nutella swirl and piped buttercream roses.

    Divide the mixture equally into cupcake cases. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes.

  3. Flower-topped cupcakes with Nutella swirl and piped buttercream roses.

    Take the cupcakes out of the oven and let them cool completely.

  4. Flower-topped cupcakes with Nutella swirl and piped buttercream roses.

    Decorate each cupcake with 15g Nutella® using a spreader to make a nice flower, then add the blueberries on top. Enjoy!
