HAZELNUTS FAQ

The hazelnuts used in Nutella^® originate primarily from Turkey, Italy, Chile and here in the USA. The harvest takes place between the beginning of August and the end of September. To ensure the availability of only the highest quality of hazelnuts, cultivation also takes place in countries from the Southern Hemisphere, representing an additional harvest from February to March.

13% of the recipe for Nutella comes from hazelnuts, which means that, for example, a 750g (26.5 OZ) jar of Nutella^® contains approximately 97 hazelnuts.
